Training programmes under Farmers� Field School (FFS)

Farmers Field School is a non formal education imparted to farmer wherein a situation for field oriented, discovery based learning is created. It is a farmer�s participatory approach learning process. Farmers� field school is a season long training programme to impart training to the farmer throughout the season.

Farmers� Field School recognizes the farmer�s knowledge and valuable experiences. It is field oriented and farmer centered programme and learning is by doing. Farmers empowerment is by discovery based learning and it provides a participatory approach. A lead farmer is identified under each school who has the overall responsibility for conducting the training programmes. CSR & TI, Berhampore has established 14 Farmers field school, one each under each REC.
